Add Miso Soup to Your Table

The Japanese diet contains various dishes containing fermented foods, and miso soup is popular. Miso is a paste made from fermented soybeans, and I make chickpea miso, too.

The probiotics, live bacteria, or yeast in fermented foods can help balance our gut health and boost the immune system.

Older Japanese people, yes, including me :) have a small cup of miso almost daily - a few vegetables, seaweed, protein, probiotics, and live bacteria.

This is equivalent to a Western salad everyone here tries to have every meal.

Use miso soup as a new way to gain balance in your diet rather than just a salad.
